About this beer

Like its heavy, musical namesake, Fertile Green is an immersive and saturated hoppy beer experience. We were heavy-handed on hops, to be sure, but those are deftly tucked into a well-balanced malt base and given the right amount of time to integrate and mellow to the very enjoyable, smooth hazy double IPA it is. Expect the characteristic dank, spicy orange of the Amarillo hops with piney-mango and tropical contributions from the Mosaic hops. Drink Fertile Green and watch the surrounding landscape outdoors change to a leafy, verdant hue.

Brewer's notes:

“Fertile Green represents the culmination of where Gnosis is currently at with our hazy IPA program. There’s a LOT that goes into getting these beers to a level we’re proud of and where we think folks will not only enjoy them, but regard them as particularly good examples of the style and its subsets. This beer really seemed to come out as a particularly good example of the balance and finish we want on these – a very fresh, heavily-dry-hopped hazy IPA is usually going to have some “zippy-ness” or hop bite, and to some extent a small amount of that early in a beer’s life cycle can indicate freshness. In this case, that aspect is fairly well restrained with the finished beer still having assertive hop flavors and aromatics, but with a very dialed-back hop-zip. And it’s dank AF – as it should be with a name like Fertile Green. And yes, Eric named it as an homage to a certain rock and roll band’s music that he’s known to listen to frequently…you might’ve heard of them, they used to play in Munster, IN almost annually. Grab a 4-pack or a pint, sit back, and get into the lush and ferile green – and maybe listen to doom metal while you do.”
